Hiking

Looking to do some outdoor activity- hiking, cross-country skiing, sightseeing? The endless mountains have you covered. Our cabins and cottages are in the heart of the beautiful Endless Mountains. The State Parks closest to our main office, Eagles Mere, include Worlds End State Park, Ricketts Glen State Park, and Little Pine State Park. Each of these State Parks has unique features to explore and enjoy. Much of the public land to utilize for outdoor recreation is the Loyalsock State Forest and to our south State Game Lands 52. An added bonus for those seeking an outdoor challenge is a portion of the Appalachian Trail, which runs through the Loyalsock State Forest, you can plan day trips to complete that section.

The links below will take you directly to the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources (DCNR) pages on these State Parks. Here you will find out about different trail options, closing and opening dates for concessions and boat rentals, and unique features of those parks, including swimming areas, gorgeous waterfalls, breathtaking vistas, bald eagle watching, and much more.

Happy Hiking!

The Loyalsock Trail

The Loyalsock Trail is a 59-mile trail running in an east-to-west direction, beginning in Ringdale (on Route 220 south of Dushore) and ending in Lycoming County, passing through Loyalsock State Forest lands, and Worlds End State Park. It can be entered and exited at many points along its blazed route. Maps are available at The Sullivan Review showing the topography and providing a verbal description by mile mark of the trail.

The LT is maintained by the Alpine Club of Williamsport. The trail follows Indian Paths, and old railroad grades, and goes through Worlds End State Park and former CCC camps, with waterfalls and many vistas. For info call (570) 326-0133. Pack out what you pack in, take only pictures, and leave only footprints.
